Fidela Coffee Roasters’ own coffee journey began with this amazing couple, Don Luis Botina and his wife, Sereida Portilla.
They have both been coffee farming for over twenty-eight years. Their farm is in the small village of Tambillo, close to the town Sandona in the province of Nariño, Colombia. Don Luis was the local schoolteacher in Tambillo and, during his career, he started to buy micro-lots of coffee. Over time, he has become an expert in coffee farming and processing. This has gained him recognition from the Colombian Coffee Federation for his dedication to farming.
Don Luis has since retired from teaching and now dedicates his time to farming. La Finca El Naranjo Agrio has 3.5 hectares separated into two micro-lots, one of which is Naranjo Agrio. We are proudly presenting this coffee to you for the second year in a row.
PROCESS
Naranjo Agrio is a washed coffee. In this process, the cherry is fully removed from the coffee seed before drying. You can expect floral notes, along with grapefruit, citrus and brown sugar.
