FINCA LA AGUADUA
Farm: Finca La Aguada
Producer: Eduardo Santos Betancurt
Origin: Sandona, Colombia
Varietal: Tabi
Score: 87.75
Process: Washed
Notes: Juicy Red Berries, Floral Honey, Ripe Mandarin
We are proud to present a new and esquisite coffee from Finca La Aguada. Don Eduardo, alongside his wife and children, are the second generation of his family to devote their lives to coffee cultivation. Having acquired Finca Aguada 8 years ago, Eduardo has spent time renewing their coffee crop and cultivating a new variety, Tabí.
The Tabí variety is characterised by its good production and sensory profiles, particularly the notes of red fruits, which attracts speciality coffee buyers. Eduardo is always training and educating himself on new coffee trends with regards to cultivation, planting and new varieties resistant to pests and environmental climates.
In the cup, expect aromas of peach and ripe mandarin. This coffee is very sweet, with notes of juicy red berries, and a floral honey finish. We found a sweet acidity and a soft body. A balanced and beautiful cup.

Our second coffee of the month is a fantastic lot from Finca El Rodeo. The Rodeo farm is located in a mountainous area at the foot of the Galeras volcano. Its land, which is rich in minerals, enhances the quality of coffee cultivation and production. Don Humberto has been working for many years in the coffee industry, which allowed him to save up and buy his own farm 15 years ago. alongside his wife and two children, Don Humberto has made coffee cultivation his livelihood.
The area of la Florida in particular is known for its steep mountains and spectacular views which attracts great biodiversity in plants and animals. These lands are perfect for growing coffee, producing acidic and citrusy flavours.
In this washed coffee, we are introduced by green apple notes complemented with very sweet and deep flavours of blackberry and salted caramel.
